The Art Space Booth, once again, is taking part in Northern Greece Contemporary Art Fair, with artworks presented by Christina Michalopoulou, artist, creator and owner of theartspace.gr, Elena Hinitidou, contemporary mixed media artist and art tutor, and Katerina Dimitriadou, contemporary figurative painter.

In my recent body of work, human bodies and geometric volumes spread over surfaces, intertwined and interacting. Parts of bodies, wings, limbs and curves clash, touch, fall in love, and reject each other. Demon/angels, gristle and bones, dances and wrestlers, the body parts of my work are gentle waves of memory.
The more obscure and unfathomable the stories behind the compositions, the sharper the outlines separating the depicted bodies. The assemblages appear like votive images claiming eternal time: with straight lines become frazzled and faces lose the wrinkles. These compositions are time incarnate, palindromic and unfolding.
The colour operates as a limit. The surface as a field of emotions. The bodies as brush movement. The composition as a snapshot of the self.

This is the most appropriate condition to hear within you, the voice that will come like a whisper and tell you, “Begin. Again...”.
This work is dedicated to all those who answer to this call. To those who dare again and again, to roll up their sleeves and, with faith in the magic of a new beginning, dream and create, wiser than ever, hungrier than ever, new, hither to unknown conditions and platforms of experience. The new beginning feels like gold, like the first rays of the sun. It is dawn. It reflects your new self. It sings the lyrics that touched you. It gradually accelerates towards the center, expressing your deepest desires, your wildest dreams. New beginnings are birds that want to fly. The moment of integration has come for you to become the wing. You want it, you decide it, you commit and finally you live your dream. You take your soul by the hand and along with everything you love and believe in, you begin. AGAIN...
